Daily Operations
Login, starting and ending a shift
Keeping track of both cash and cashless transactions is essential for accountability and accuracy. By opening and closing your register for each shift, you’ll always know who handled each transaction and when.
By default, you will be assigned to POS 1 and logged into it by the Admin account after completing the sign-up process. You should create another account for your staff to use during daily operations.
First, let's close the register, as the Admin is already logged in. In the POS section of the retail workflow or the Dine-in/Takeaway section of the restaurant workflow, tap the "Cash Register" button in the top left corner to open a summary page of the current shift. Tap the "Close Register" button to end the shift. If you have a receipt printer paired, a shift report will print automatically. The login page will then appear, waiting for the next user.

Customizations: Create customizations for items that have different options to choose from, such as tea selections (oolong, jasmine, and green tea).
-
Track Stock: Enable this to use stock tracking. Enter values in the "In Stock" and "Low Stock" fields to trigger a warning when inventory runs low.
Price Variants
If your item has price variants—such as hot and iced tea, or different drink sizes like small, medium, and large—you don't need to create separate items with different prices. Instead, you can create a single item with price variants to simplify your menu.
Steps to Use Price Variants:
-
Tap the "Use Price Variant" button in the Price section.
-
Enter the name of the variant (such as "Hot" or "Iced").
-
Enter the price.
-
Enter the cost (this helps calculate profits in reports).
-
Tap the "Add" button.
-
Repeat the steps above for all price variants.
-
Tap the Apply button to save them to the item you are editing.
Customizations
If you offer an item like tea, you don't need to create multiple separate items for each kind. Instead, you can use customization to offer an array of choices (such as oolong, green tea, etc.) under a single "Tea" item.
Another example is a steak: you can create different cooking temperatures (medium rare, medium, and medium well). You can also create add-ons for the steak, such as side dishes like French fries, mashed potatoes, and sweet corn.
Steps to Use Customizations:
-
Tap the "Edit" button in the Customization section.
-
In the Customization panel, tap the "Build a New Set" button.
-
Enter the name of your customization (such as "Temperature").
-
Enter "Medium Rare," "Medium," and "Medium Well" in the Item field, and tap "Add" after each entry.
-
In the Selection Type, choose between Single or Multiple. Select "Single" for temperature since only one option can be chosen. On the other hand, if you are building an add-on such as a side dish, select "Multiple" because customers can choose more than one.
-
Tap the "Save" button.
-
Finally, select the newly created customization item from the list and tap the "Apply" button.
Set menu
A set menu is a curated selection of dishes offered together at a fixed, combined price .
Unlike ordering à la carte—where every appetizer, main course, and side is chosen and priced individually—a set menu guides the customer through a cohesive dining experience.
Common Applications:
-
Lunch Specials / Business Lunches: Quick, cost-effective meals during the workday.
-
Special Occasions: Valentine’s Day, New Year’s Eve, or holiday dinners.
-
Tasting Menus (Degustation): Multi-course culinary journeys curated by high-end chefs.
-
Value Combos: Commonly seen in casual dining or fast-casual restaurants (e.g., a burger, fries, and a drink bundled together as a "meal").
Steps to Create a Set Meal:
-
Select "Set menu."
-
Enter all the available fields, similar to à la carte.
-
Down in the Set Menu section, tap the "Edit" button to open the Set Menu Item panel.
-
Tap the "Create set item" button, then enter a section name such as "Appetizer."
-
In the Search section, search for items you have already created as à la carte (such as buffalo chicken dip, stuffed mushrooms, and mozzarella sticks).
-
Tap the searched items to add them to the Appetizer section for this example. (Note: Tap any added items if you need to remove them).
-
Tap the "Save" button once you have added all the items for the Appetizer section. This will take you back to the "Set Menu Item" panel.
-
Repeat the steps above for other courses, such as "Drinks" or "Main Course," as necessary.
-
Select the created set items from the list, then tap the "Apply" button.
-
Tap "Save."

Using the Promotions
Once the promotion is set up and active, it will apply to orders automatically during daily operations. Your staff cannot alter the rules or turn them on or off unless they have admin access to their accounts.
-
Example 1 (Buy 1 Get 1 Free): When your staff adds the first item to the order, the price is the same as the list price. When the second item is added—since it is free under the promotion—the price for that second item will become $0.
-
Example 2 (Buy 2 for $2 on a $1.50 item): When your staff adds the first item, the price is $1.50 as the list price. When the second item is added, both items will be marked down to $1 each as expected.
Reporting
Used promotions are recorded in the staff shift report as well as the Summary report, Sales report, Z Report, Detailed Product Breakdown report, Sales Summary, and a dedicated Promotion Summary.
These reports track the number of promotions used and the total discounted value applied.
Tips
If you have multiple pay stations, ensure you have a stable Wi-Fi connection when promotions are added or updated. This ensures they synchronize across all devices. Always test the promotions by adding them to a live order to confirm they are working correctly.

-
Earn on Amount Paid: Customers earn points on the actual amount paid after discounts/rewards.
-
Earn on Order Total: Customers earn points on the full subtotal of the items ordered, regardless of discounts/rewards applied.
